I write romantic fiction under the pen name, CJ McCay. My first books, all in the Bent Creek Series, will be released in the spring of 2026! I’m signed with Scarsdale Publishing.
I was born and raised in western Kansas, where my imagination ran as wild and free as the prairie I grew up on. I loved reading from an early age and enjoyed making up stories. I began writing my own stories in junior high, which I was good at. I just wasn’t good at finishing them. Now I write full time and can’t wait to share my stories with the world. When I’m not writing, editing, or doing other authorish things, I enjoy keeping my husband and two adult children guessing what I’ll get up to next. Ha! I don’t even know what that will be until I do it! I love playing the piano and love reading, always reading. I am a latecomer to the audiobook world and now I like to “run a few errands” just to get a little listening time in.
