Theresa Falzone is a journalist, editor, and editorial/publishing consultant, with more than 30 years in local media. Most recently, she was director of custom content for Michigan.com, a division of Gannett/USA Today, with local digital and print products such as StyleLine, metro Detroit's largest monthly magazine; Michigan Prime, the area's largest senior magazine; and Michigan College Guide.
A graduate of the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Theresa began her career at Heritage Newspapers in Southgate. As editor in chief of Lawrence Street Publications in Southfield, she launched Women's HealthStyle magazine, among other consumer and business-to-business publications, then joined Hometown Newspapers as associate publisher of Specialty Communications. She joined Gannett in 2002. Her honors include a Michigan Press Association award for feature writing, and the Vanguard Award, given by Women In Communications for innovatively using communications to improve the quality of life for others.
She is a founding member and treasurer of Michigan Sisters in Crime, the state chapter of Sisters in Crime, a national organization for crime writers and fans. Theresa is working on her first novel, a mystery set in metro Detroit.
