About
Deborah Di Bari’s writing practice explores the experimental potential of the lyric essay (a try) to move beyond genre boundaries.
She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The City College of New York, City University of New York.
She enjoyed a twenty-year career as a fashion designer and printed fabric designer in New York City’s Garment Center. She is a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology.
Deborah founded and edited Breathe Free Press, a literary magazine of essaysim, publishing essays of resistance, imagination, cultural and social awareness and endurance, applying her design experience to the journal’s editorial design.
Her writing has appeared in various literary journals.
