About
Courtney loves to write about imaginative, innovative, creative ideas and people. She hopes her stories will resonate with readers. Her non-fiction biographical science book, RATS With Backpacks: Dr. Donna Kean and Her Work at APOPO highlights the amazing work of APOPO using scent detection applications with rats, and shares the story of a Scottish girl who grows up loving animals and becomes a animal behavior scientist training the African giant pouched rats at APOPO to rescue survivors after natural disasters.
Courtney has written two books in the CLOUDSCAPE international fantasy/adventure series: CLOUDSCAPE Charlie's Story and CLOUDSCAPE Matilda's Story. She is currently working on the third and final book in the series, CLOUDSCAPE Kagiso's Story.
She retired from working almost 26 years as a school-based Occupational Therapist. She is a member of the SCBWI (Society of Children's Writers and Illustrators) and RACWI (Rochester Area Children's Writers and Illustrators). She is President of a local writer's group.
