Leanne Phillips is an award-winning writer and a lifelong Californian. She currently lives, reads, and writes on the Central Coast. Leanne's debut novel-in-collected-stories, California Is an Earthquake, is coming fall 2027 from Sibylline Press. Her work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, The Rumpus, the Los Angeles Review of Books, The Coachella Review, Kelp Journal, and elsewhere. Leanne earned an MFA in Creative Writing and Writing for the Performing Arts from the University of California at Riverside, Palm Desert. She earned a BA in English, with an emphasis in creative writing and a minor in history, from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
