P.M. Castle writes murder mysteries set in the rugged northwest corner of Colorado featuring two sleuths in a small town newspaper editor and brilliant history professor. Castle draws on more than 40 years of experience as a reporter and editor in Western Colorado. His freelance work has appeared in numerous publications, including the Washington Post. He's received awards from the Colorado Press Association for news coverage and photography and was named the U.S. Small Business Administration journalist of the year for Colorado and SBA District VIII. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Colorado State University. He’s a member of Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers and the Authors Guild. He’s a four-time finalist in the RMFW Colorado Gold Rush Literary Awards competition and won the 2020 award for mysteries and thrillers. P.M. Castle lives in Grand Junction and hikes the mountains and canyons of western Colorado and eastern Utah. He holds certification as a master scuba diver and has explored reefs and wrecks around the world.
