About
Janine L. Weisman is planning to publish her debut narrative nonfiction book HOW TO STALK A DEAD WOMAN in the spring of 2027. The true crime-memoir hybrid tells the story of her stubborn fascination with the legacy of an unsolved murder that took place in her hometown when she was eight years old. Janine is the editor-in-chief of Rhode Island Current, one of 39 independent, nonpartisan newsrooms affiliated with the nonprofit States Newsroom. Janine spent 25 years in the newsroom of The Newport Daily News, including 13 as editor of the popular free weekly Newport Mercury. An adjunct professor in the journalism program at Roger Williams University, Janine earned a master's degree in speech communication from the University of Maine and is a graduate of Rhode Island College.
