About
Carrigan Richards is the author of several young adult novels known for their emotional depth and immersive worlds. Much of her work explores mental health, with the hope of spreading awareness and starting meaningful conversations.
Born in Cullman, Alabama, Carrigan grew up in Birmingham before moving to Atlanta at 18. She earned both her BA in English and her MA in Professional Writing from Kennesaw State University. Storytelling has been a lifelong passion—she was inventing characters and acting out scenes with dolls long before she ever put words to paper.
When she isn’t writing (which is rare), Carrigan can be found spending time with family and friends, listening to music, playing with her beloved furbabies Ella and Ozzie, or cheering on her Atlanta Braves.
