A Dream Life
A woman discovers her lawyer husband of nearly twenty years has been arrested for embezzling client funds. They live a seemingly dream life in an affluent, town close to Hartford, Conn in the 1980s. During the course of their marriage and while she is busy raising three daughters, her husband seeks wealth beyond his law career and establishes an import business with another individual. He takes client funds either without their consent or under the guise of a "great investment" (the import business) until he is caught owing nearly two million dollars. Two years after his arrest, he enters prison for over three years.
This story looks at a woman who lives under a shroud of denial because to face the truth would mean forfeiting everything she has known. However, when her husband goes to prison, she is forced to live independently and discovers her strength and capacity to manage her own life. She becomes true to who she always was and lives what ultimately is a dream life.
