Author of three traditionally published non-fiction works, "Know Your Parenting Personality", John Wiley, 2004; "The Enneagram Intelligences", Greenwood Publishing Group, 1998 (nominated for the Grawemeyer Education Award 2000) and "Inside Apartheid", Contemporary Books, 1988. (Well reviewed including: The New York Times Book Review, The New York Review of Books, Terri Gross on Fresh Air, Judy Woodruff, PBS). There are several foreign editions of both Enneagram books.
Published in the New York Times Magazine, Boston Globe, The Yale Review and elsewhere, I have also received fellowships from the VCCA and the Hambidge Center. I have been interviewed on all the major media outlets and was a consultant to PBS “Frontline” and on the PBS News Hour. Currently working on two books. Non-fiction Examining the crossroads where culture and literature meet. Fiction, a multi-generational sage of one Jewish family from eastern Europe making South Africa home from the 1870-2010.
