About

Alie Dumas-Heidt grew up in the suburbs of Salt Lake County, UT. She started writing as a kid and wanted to grow up to be a writer and a detective. As a single mom in her early twenties, Alie worked as a 911 operator and police dispatcher, helping residents and officers in seven jurisdictions in Salt Lake County. It was during that time as a dispatcher that the idea for her debut novel, The Myth Maker, first started.

Alie now lives on the Kitsap Peninsula in Washington state with her husband, their adult kids, and two ridiculously spoiled dogs – Astrid and Torvi. She’s a member of International Thriller Writers and Sisters in Crime, where she volunteers as part of the social media team. Beyond writing, Alie enjoys making glass art, crocheting, knitting, and exploring their new home state with her husband and dogs. Connect with Alie online at aliedh.com and on her Substack as Alie the Author.
