About

Grew up in Coral Gables, Florida, Dublin, Ireland, and Bronxville, New York. In 10th grade I went to Sewanee Military Academy in Tennessee where I was managing editor of the school paper, edited the humor column (as did my brother five years earlier), and founded The HAROLD which I thought of as an underground journal.

Antioch College, University of Washington, Case Western Reserve Law, Army War College, and thirty years in the Army later, I got my MFA from Queens to find moderate acceptance as a poet, winning the UK National Poetry Prize, Montana Prize for Humor, and others. My first poetry collection, "Gorilla," was published my Main Street Rag Publishing Company and a chapbook is forthcoming from Finishing Line Press. I live in Asheville, NC.
