Anna Marie Garcia has danced flamenco on a baroque castle stage, paraglided above Queenstown, welcomed sunrise atop Mt. Fuji, and trekked trails and backroads on five continents. On Grace’s Watch, her debut novel, will be published in summer 2025. She was chosen as a poetry and short story finalist in the 2023 San Francisco Foundation Writing Contest anthology What We've Believed, and she has published short story and flash fiction pieces in the Central Oregon Writers Guild anthologies. She holds an undergraduate degree in journalism and penned newspaper articles prior to earning an M.A. degree and pursuing international work. Anna Marie draws inspiration from fifteen years of working and living in Europe and Asia. Year-round sports help her maintain an active lifestyle, with hiking and stand-up paddleboarding among her favorite outdoor activities. Anna Marie continues to broaden her experiences and cultural knowledge with global travel.
