About

I'm a graduate of Eastern Mennonite College with bachelor’s degrees in Home Economics Education and Liberal Arts and of the University of Wisconsin with a master’s degree in Continuing and Adult Education (emphases in international development and nutrition). More recently, I received a certificate in publishing from Boston University.
I worked as a representative for a nonprofit service organization in Uganda and then subsequently held a variety of volunteer positions while raising two children and accompanying my husband in his work in Ghana, Kenya, and then Boston, where I now live.
My interests have led me towards editing and publishing. As a freelancer living in Kenya and later in Massachusetts, I variously researched, created, copyedited, formatted, and facilitated the printing of books, folders, pamphlets, journals, magazines, slideshows, and manuals for individuals and organizations.
After moving to the Boston area, I worked for a publishing company for several years, copyediting and formatting textbooks and journals. And I continued freelance work in copyediting.
I am an active member of the Mennonite Congregation of Boston and contribute to publicity efforts with my local farmers market.
