About

Lancy McCall is a pen name for a woman who grew up in the oil patch in West Texas, working in male-dominated industries. She's a jack-of-all-trades who started her career as a cost accountant, then vacillated between the financial world and information technology, before finally finding her place as a project manager who straddled both worlds.

Her stories are about women working to find their place in the world and the relationships with the people in their lives. Lancy draws her inspiration from the wonderful (and not so great) people she met traveling the world while working in large international companies.

Lancy was always an avid reader—so much that her poor mother had to hide her inappropriate-for-children bodice ripper romances. (Sorry, Mom... I found your stash.) She reads across genres, usually based on her mood.

In 2019, when Lancy complained to her husband that she couldn't find anything good to read, he responded with, "Write your own book."

So she did.
