About
Bobbie Ann Mason grew up in western Kentucky and was educated at the University of Kentucky, Harpur College, and the University of Connecticut. Her first fiction was published in the New Yorker in 1980. She has written several novels and collections of short stories, as well as a biographical essay about Elvis Presley and a memoir, Clear Springs, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.
