Nick lives in Wisconsin with his wife and daughter, where he has worked in advertising for over two decades. His personal experience training in Renaissance Italian martial arts, specifically the system created by Fiore di Liberi and including grappling, knife fighting and sword combat has heavily influenced his writing, inspiring fantasy works with gritty and realistic swordplay.
