Retired English professor who aspires to write fiction. I have published one novel (I wrote the second half of a novel my mother, Roberta Gellis, left unfinished at the time of her death). I am mostly interested in writing science fiction, but I often try to combine it with other genres like romance, mystery, and horror.

These days, to be honest, I feel like my fiction writing has stalled out. I still wanted to write something, to keep my skills sharp, and I've always liked talking about movies, so I'm keeping myself busy by writing movie reviews, which I post on Letterboxd.

Maybe I'll put a bunch of them together and turn it into a book on horror movies someday. (Even if I'm retired, I can put that Ph.D. in English to good use!)
