About
Celeste Connally is the USA Today bestselling author of the Lady Petra Inquires series, an Agatha Award nominee, and a former freelance writer and editor. Her historical mysteries are set in Regency-era England and feature a headstrong heroine, a feminist spin, and as many equestrian scenes as her plots and editor will allow. She delights in giving her mysteries a good dose of romance, too, and a few research facts she hopes you’ll find as interesting as she does. Passionate about history and slightly obsessed with period dramas, what Celeste loves most is reading and writing about women who don’t always do as they are told.
Featured Work
All’s Fair in Love and Treachery (Lady Petra Inquires Mysteries, book 2)

London, 21 June 1815: As London celebrates victory over Napoleon at Waterloo, not everything is in the pink in Lady Petra’s world. Just as she’s about to begin her investigation for the Queen into a death at an orphanage, her world is turned upside down.
And when the events of the past—and the events of her heart—are suddenly called into question, they collide with a very real threat from the present. Whilst London teems with revelers, and everything—and everyone—seems duplicitous, Petra will have three days to sort out what and who deserves her trust and stop an impending act of violence from a nefarious group before it’s too late.
For while a lady can flout the rules, she must always remember that all’s fair in love and treachery.
