I grew up in Memphis and played competitive tennis. After working in various fields—art, clothing sales rep, and home furnishing retail buyer/manager, I returned to school and graduated with degrees in biology and nursing from the University of Memphis. I recently retired from working as a recovery room nurse. My husband has many interesting stories about his life growing up in Beirut and Brussels and an interesting career in the US. We began writing them down, and they have turned into a memoir, "Uncharted Canvas: A Journey from Beirut, Brussels, and Beyond," that we hope to publish next month.
