Hello, I'm an award winning author and photo-illustrator of over sixty picture books. I'm mostly nonfiction. My books capture a diverse range of kids either through concept books, nature, or books that explore subjects that help children navigate their world with joy and inclusivity. My recent book, FINDING HOME-WORDS FROM KIDS SEEKING sanctuary was awarded the gold Junior Library Guild award and a Notable Social Studies Trade Book Award.
