About
A Boston native, Dianna worked in the L.A.'s film business as a freelance producer and production manager on TV and film projects, While living there, she earned her MFA in Film from the American Film Institute and taught film production at UCLA Extension’s Entertainment Studies Division. Her short fiction film "Graffiti," that she initiated and produced at AFI, earned an Academy Award nomination and won several national and international awards. In addition, she wrote story treatments and developed film projects, one of which landed a development/ production deal at Paramount Pictures. After leaving L.A., she held various positions as a film commissioner in NC, an executive producer in D.C., and an executive director of an international film festival in NH.
Her publishing credits include articles for several film industry magazines, interviewing high profile filmmakers and film industry executives. She holds a B.A. in English from UMass-Boston and a M.S. in Television/Radio from Syracuse University. Before moving to Cape Cod, she served on the board of directors for the Winston-Salem Writers Group as their VP/Programs Chair. Now she spends her free time hiking nature trails, taking sunset photos, expanding her shell collection, and oh yes, improving her writing skills while she looks for the next story that will capture her imagination and keep her busy working on her next novel.
