I am everything education! I am the founder of two educational websites (Rockin Resources® and Rockstar Writers®), the author of Pappy's Butterfly: A Tale of Perseverance, and working on a writing guide called "How to Rock Your Writing Instruction."

My commitment to education is ongoing, even though I am no longer in the classroom. With a master's degree, National Board Certification, Gifted and Talented Certification, and 26 years of classroom experience, I maintain a strong connection to the educational community. My dedication to education extends beyond my professional roles. I am actively involved in two nonprofit educational organizations, Rise Together International and Clover Leaf Foundation. I feel blessed to be part of shaping the learning experiences of future generations through these organizations.

My approach to education is advocating for a research-based, standards-driven curriculum that strongly emphasizes explicit teaching strategies, engaging lessons, and differentiation. This unique approach is the cornerstone of Rockstar Writers for Grades 1-8, a platform that has empowered teachers and homeschool parents with effective writing instruction methods.

Along with writing instruction, I believe in using mentor texts to show students the craft of authors so they can mirror it in their own writing. This led me to write children's books filled with the author's craft and themes for a positive growth mindset.
