About
David Anderson and his two brothers were raised in a small town in southern Minnesota by top-notch parents. In the 1970s, David spent countless hours immersed in Dungeons and Dragons campaigns on the family pool table in the basement. In this subterranean lair, surrounded by avocado-green cinder blocks and mild levels of radon, brothers and friends lost themselves in a world of fantastic creatures and adventure.
David's journey continued as he graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Minnesota, which led him to Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, and then back to Minneapolis. Along the way, he helped raise a family, traveled, and continued his work in software development. Now retired, the teenage memories of D&D in the Anderson basement still linger and demand a voice from five decades past. The Three Sticks fantasy series emerged from this cauldron of memories and experiences, a testament to David's dedication and love for the genre.
Three Sticks is David's first novel. The first draft of the third book in the series, Three Bones, is half done, and I am looking at a Summer 2025 release.

Three Sticks

Three Sticks is a heroic fantasy saga told through the eyes of Sten, a seventeen-year-old half-elf. Self-conscious about a childhood injury, he avoids any meaningful contact with the girls of his village. Whenever girls talk to him, he thinks they pity him and quickly ends those conversations. He resigns himself to being alone.
Sten’s fortunes seem to change when his mother sends him and his brother, Hopper, to Havn, the capital of the human kingdom, to track down their missing father. The journey takes an unexpected turn, and the teenagers soon find themselves heading into the Wild, where elves, pixies, and fantastic creatures abound.
Walk alongside the two brothers on a journey of romance, friendship, heartbreak, and wonder.
