Ilona Bray is descended of Lithuanian refugees, and was a practicing immigration attorney until she turned to writing (both fiction and practical nonfiction). By day, she's a legal editor at Nolo. By the light of dawn, she writes children's stories, both picture book and middle grade. She's a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and 12x12.
