About
M.R. Osborne is a writer known for his work on Christian mysticism, esotericism, and philosophical alchemy.
He has published books and articles on Rosicrucianism, Biblical mythology and symbolism. A Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia (SRIA) member and Director of Studies at Pythagoras College No.26, he currently edits the biannual Pamphlet Plus Quam Silentium. In 2018, he won the Companion of Christian Rosenkreutz (CCR) Award for his papers on The Lessons of Lyons of the Élus Coëns. He has written for the Metropolitan Study Group and Watkins Mind, Body and Spirit Magazine.
He is best known for his scholarly introductions to Rose Circle's five-volume series of early Martinezist or related manuscripts. His research focus has centred on the composition of the original Élus Coëns as a Catholic mystical fraternity. He contends that the Order's attempted reinstitution of the exorcistic theurgy of the Temple kōhānīm was doctrinally consistent with the Catholic faith to which its members subscribed.
He regularly appears in online podcasts and interviews, introducing his books and discussing Christian esotericism.
The author first encountered Rosicrucianism on a personal journey of spiritual inquiry. In this, he discovered a fascinating philosophy of early science and theology maintained by hidden organisations almost entirely unknown to mainstream society. The author aims to shed new light on these topics by writing on Rosicrucianism and related research areas—for newcomers and seasoned experts alike.

Martinez de Pasqually: The Office of the Holy Spirit

Delve into the rich spiritual tradition of the "Office of the Holy Spirit" and its connection to the enigmatic 18th-century mystic Martinez de Pasqually. The book unveils a rare treasure from medieval Christianity that nearly vanished from history but found new purpose in Pasqually's esoteric Christian practice.
The work reproduces this forgotten divine office - a structured prayer system rooted in the psalms and traditionally observed at specific hours throughout the day. The author explores how Pasqually, a Catholic of Portuguese-Jewish origin, incorporated these devotions into his "Élus Coëns" system, emphasizing spiritual reconciliation through prayer. This beautifully illustrated volume, featuring both original Latin texts and English translations, offers not just historical insight but a practical devotional resource for Christians of all backgrounds seeking to deepen their connection with the Holy Spirit through this ancient contemplative tradition.
