I am beginning a writing career after a couple "side projects" including a career as a fishery biologist and raising kids. At my age, I have a few stories long "in the works" that I am finally putting to paper. I began writing in science, young adult fantasy and Middle school contemporary and adult contemporary (NOT erotica) Midway through I began writing a fictional story after a real event (a tragic fire), as a way of dealing with the tragedy. This has emerged as a story that I have been encouraged to polish and publish. I switch back and forth when I get bogged down or when one story gets to be overwhelming. (the fire one, in particular, is tough. The others are fun).
