Robyn Hood Black writes poetry, fiction, and nonfiction in the South Carolina mountains. Her first books were SIR MIKE (Scholastic Library) and WOLVES (Intervisual Press). Her poetry appears in THE POETRY FRIDAY ANTHOLOGY series (Vardell & Wong, Pomelo Books), in Georgia Heard's anthology of found poems, THE ARROW FINDS ITS MARK (Roaring Brook), in LULLABY AND KISSES SWEET by Lee Bennett Hopkins (Abrams) and SCHOOL PEOPLE by Lee Bennett Hopkins (Wordsong), and in THE POETRY OF US by J. Her fiction has appeared in Highlights and her poetry has been featured in Ladybug and Hopscotch and Highlights Hello. Her haiku appear regularly in leading haiku journals and have been published in several anthologies. Robyn is active in SCBWI and The Haiku Society of America.
