Mary Anne Moisan is a writer and knitter, a tai chi instructor and skier, a lover of crashing ocean waves and gently falling snow. Her work as a physical and occupational therapist in the clinic and academia has shaped and informed her debut memoir, An Island of One. She has presented on topics of neuroscience, dementia, and occupational therapy at regional, state and local venues. She administers Young Dementia, a Facebook community, curating news and building awareness of young-onset dementia. Her published works are found at Herstry, Intima: A Journal of Narrative Medicine, and The Examined Life Journal.
