About
Quinton Taylor-Garcia is a disabled veteran, author, and publisher committed to harnessing the power of storytelling to inspire resilience, community, and healing. He is the founder and CEO of Bamboo Village Books, a San Antonio–based publishing company established in 2023 to amplify independent voices, with a special focus on military veterans and underrepresented authors.
Through Bamboo Village Books, Quinton has launched multiple projects that reflect his vision for accessible and meaningful storytelling. His works include Ashes of the City—recognized with a 5-star review from Literary Titan—and Under Orders of Silence, reviewed by Kirkus Reviews for its bold reimagining of faith and perseverance. He also develops puzzle books, word search collections, and educational workbooks designed to bring creativity and reflection to diverse audiences.
In addition, Quinton founded the Founders of the Bamboo Flame Guild, a youth-focused literacy initiative that creates interactive activity booklets and storytelling adventures to encourage the next generation of readers and writers. This project bridges creativity and community, giving young people tools to imagine, explore, and express themselves.
Alongside his publishing work, Quinton is a cybersecurity leader and mentor, specializing in Zero Trust strategies, mission assurance, and IT career development. He regularly speaks at universities, professional organizations, and community events, where he shares his expertise in both cybersecurity and the transformative role of writing.
Rooted in his own journey as a disabled veteran and community advocate, Quinton’s mission is clear: to build spaces—whether through books, technology, or mentorship—where voices are heard, stories are shared, and people are empowered to thrive.
