Jule Selbo, an award-winning screenwriter moved from Los Angeles to Maine to write novels. 7 DAYS, A Dee Rommel Mystery (2025), is the fourth of a crime/mystery series that follows the Kirkus starred ** 10 DAYS (2021) and 9 DAYS (2022) and 8 DAYS (2023). Other kudos: Kirkus’ Top 5 from Small Publishers, Silver Falchion Award and Foreword Review, Clue and Maine Lit Award nominations. Other books include: Find Me in Florence (2019), Dreams of Discovery, the Life of Explorer John Cabot (2019), Breaking Barriers, The Life of Laura Bassi (2020). Screenwriting credits include (tv and film) Lucas’ Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Hercules, Melrose Place, Hercules, Space Above and Beyond and more and feature-length movies for Disney, Columbia Pictures and Universal. Along the way, she earned her PhD in Film Theory and wrote film history and screenwriting articles and a few textbooks that are used in universities in the States and abroad, Screenplay, Building Character Through Story and Film Genre for the Screenwriter.
