Shaun Loftus runs The BookWhisperer, a small publishing and marketing studio in Tuscany for indie authors, and occasionally publishes traditionally under its own imprint, Casa Croce Press. There are six of them, and they work with a small number of authors at a time, from manuscript through publication and after it, covering editing, production, metadata, review campaigns, launch, and advertising.

Most of their authors write WWII historical fiction, Vatican and religious thrillers, crime fiction, Regency cozy mysteries, and military thrillers. They work with a couple of Romance authors - but, honestly they are just better at historical!

Shaun's own background is in theatre, as a dramaturg, director, and producer. She has also done screenwriting and commercial writing. Until Covid she ran an international theater company in Florence (F.E.S.T.A.) - but alas - global pandemic changes things, ya know?

She left the city and now lives and works from an old Tuscan villa between Florence and Arezzo, filled with cozy fireplaces and way, way too many animals.
