About

I've been writing professionally and working in the film industry in various capacities for decades.

Two of my novels, THE VIDEO KILLER (horror) and BLEEDING KANSAS (historical Western) have been published by two different traditional publishers.

To date, 10 of my feature film scripts have been produced, most recently SURVIVAL, an action-suspense thriller now streaming on Amazon and Apple. My other credits include the award-winning comedy MONKEY LOVE starring Jeremy Renner and the horror "classic" CREEPOZOIDS.

I've also ghost-written 19 novels, published by various publishers, and sometimes I write screenplay-to-book "novelizations" on assignment, and novel-to-script adaptations as well.

I'm a Member of the Horror Writers Association, and hold an MFA from USC in Cinema Production and a BA from the University of Kansas in English Lit.

I grew up in Kansas and came to Hollywood in the mid-70s, where I worked on films in various capacities before turning to writing full time. My wife is a production sound mixer on movies and TV shows, and my daughter teaches history and English around the world.

I love all sorts of literature, but lean toward genre material—thrillers, mysteries, westerns and spy novels. John le Carre´, Elmore Leonard, Carl Hiassen, and Gillian Flynn are favorites. Humor is always a prized ingredient.
