John DiMenna, a former businessman who once aspired to become a writer, returned to writing after he was incarcerated in 2018. He was released from federal prison in May 2020. He has written a collection of poems, A DIFFERENT KIND OF HELL, a hybrid form of memoir comprised of poems, essays and narrative vignettes, IN SEARCH OF MYSELF, and a long-form memoir, WHITE COLLAR ELEGY. He is currently writing a portrait memoir, HELL HATH NO ANGELS. Selections from the above have been published in Minutes Before Six, Rain Shadow Review, Unbroken, Evening Street Press and Electric Literature. He resides on the east coast of Florida with his wife of fifty-two years and writes full-time.
