In the Context of Love
When the past casts a long shadow, the search for truth becomes a journey of the heart.
Angelica has always yearned for more than her sheltered upbringing allowed—more passion, more freedom, more life. But when a devastating family secret shatters her world, she flees home and tumbles into a series of reckless choices that take her far from the girl she once was. Years later, with two children and a husband behind bars, Angelica must confront the ghosts of her past. Determined to reclaim her story, she sets out on a painful but empowering path toward self-discovery, and toward the one man who once saw her for who she truly was. Can she open her heart again and find the love, and the life, she thought she'd lost?
"Sienkiewicz's powerful and richly detailed debut novel is at once a love story, a cautionary tale, and an inspirational journey. In the Context of Love should be required reading for all wayward teenage girls—and their mothers, too.” ~ Bonnie Jo Campbell, THE WATERS
