My name is Susan Rose Simms and I’m a children’s book and educational products freelance writer and member of SCBWI. I won a Parents’ Choice Award for my rhyming interactive board book, “Let’s Take a Trip,” published by YES! Entertainment. My eleven rhyming eBooks are with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. As a speech pathologist, I’ve published reproducible workbooks, games, apps, eBooks, card sets, fiction and non-fiction high-low readers for elementary school children and teens. I recently won first prize in the American Songwriter Magazine Lyric Contest for May/June 2024. I also have contracted five books with a traditional publisher, and a Social, Emotional Learning game that is in progress. My non-fiction high/low book, “Cane Toads Invade,” published by Redline Editorial came out August 1st. My book, Counting Train Track, is out on Amazon as of Aug. 31 of this year.
