KD Sherrinford was born and raised in Preston, UK. She lives on the Fylde Coast with her husband, John, and their two children.
An avid reader from an early age, KD loved mystery writers, especially Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie.
KD came late to writing after a busy and varied career working with thoroughbred horses and as a Real Estate Agent for over twenty years, during which time she became a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents. Only after visiting the Sherlock Holmes Museum in London in the fall of 2019 did she finally gain inspiration to write her first novel. Book one in the Sherlock Holmes and Irene Adler Mysteries, " Song for Someone", was published in November 2022 and awarded The Editors Gold Seal, receiving numerous Five-Star Editorial reviews. The novel, described as " An evocative masterpiece by The Historical Fiction Company, was a recent Finalist at The Chanticleer International Book Awards-The Chatelaine., remarking " Song for Someone" is a stand-out piece in its Genre"."Christmas at The Saporis", the second book in the series, was published in December 2022, while " Meet Me in Milan" went live in September last year. The trilogy was shortlisted for genre fiction at The Ciba Series Book Awards. Book four of this thrilling series the much anticipated " The Whistle of Revenge" will be available early 2025.
