About

I’m a writer, chef, and real estate professional passionate about connecting and educating others about the realities of living with chronic illnesses. For 30 years, I lived with type one diabetes, navigating the emotional, psychological, and physical challenges that come with it. My journey took a remarkable turn when I became the first person to undergo a robotic pancreas-kidney transplant at Miami Transplant, freeing me from diabetes and giving me a fresh start.

I’m working on my first memoir, which shares my story of resilience, hope, and determination. My goal is to connect with others who are suffering and educate those who may not understand the depth of this growing medical condition—showing that it’s so much more than its definition. Through my writing, I hope to illuminate the human side of type one diabetes and encourage others to share their journeys.

Beyond writing, I’m also a chef and work in real estate and property management, which keeps me busy and connected to different aspects of life. I’m driven by the desire to inspire and uplift others, whether through a heartfelt story, a delicious meal, or finding the perfect home.
