Lasara Firefox Allen, MSW, (they/them/Mx.) is the author of Genderqueer Menopause (NOrth Atlantic Book, 1.13.26), Jailbreaking the Goddess and Sexy Witch (Llewellyn Worldwide, 2005 and 2016), and the upcoming titles Magickal Menopause (Llewellyn, 2026), The Revised and Expanded Sexy Witch (Crossed Crow, 2027), and The Revised and Expanded Jailbreaking the Goddess (Crossed Crow, 2028). The original Sexy Witch (2005) was translated into five languages, and Jailbreaking into three. Mx. Firefox Allen is also the author and publisher of two poetry chapbooks; The Pussy Poems, and, as autho and editor, the anthology Disjointed.
Mx. Firefox Allen has publications in many formats and genres in addition to the titles above, including contributions to both web-based and print magazines, textbooks, encyclopaedias, and nonfiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry anthologies. They have written in many areas of interest, from intersectional feminism to sexuality to spirituality to health and wellness. Currently enjoying writing micro memoir and poetry in addition to their more established nonfiction genre, their work has recently been published at Sledgehammer Lit, Ariel Gore's LiteraryKitchen, Spooky Gaze, Tangled Locks Journal, PULP Magazine, Mountain Bluebird Magazine, and in the Guilt Scar Zine.
Mx. Firefox Allen currently resides in Oakland, with/in the ancestral and contemporary lands of the Ohlone people. They are a Witch, a nonprofit Executive Director, a menopause and life coach, an activist and advocate, and a co-conspirator for our collective liberation.
