About
Elaine Aucoin Schroller writes about love, loss, secrets, and redemption during challenging historical times. She became enthralled by stories of Americans and Australians working and fighting together in WWI France and WWII Australia and has published two novels, DARE NOT TELL and THE BRAVEST SOLDIERS, which feature Sophie and Joe Parker as main characters. Her short story “Ripples In a Pond” in FEISTY DEEDS: HISTORICAL FICTIONS OF DARING WOMEN, is a companion piece to her novels. When she isn't writing Sophie and Joe’s next chapter or dreaming up travel plans for fun and research, Elaine wrangles the rescue cocker spaniels that she and her husband have welcomed into their home and hearts. A former technical writer, she is a member of the Historical Novel Society and the Women's Fiction Writers Association. Learn more about Elaine’s work at www.elaineschroller.com.

Feisty Deeds: Historical Fictions of Daring Women
The twenty-three stories in this collection depict ordinary women—from the 1470s to the 1970s—who meet life’s challenges with fierce determination. Foreign invaders, rigid domestic authorities, strictures of society and religion, the supernatural, and love and family bonds all serve as catalysts for the feisty women in these tales.
