You're All Write, Book Coach
I offer developmental and poetry editing. I can help develop a project, give feedback on your writing and where to submit it, and help you compile a book of poems for publication. I offer feedback on: monologues, plays, poetry, and creative nonfiction.
Besides working one-on-one with various poets on poems and preparing manuscripts for contests and/or publications, I've worked as a developmental editor for Sciencewriters Books (Lynn Margulis & Dorion Sagan), Judith Dupre, and Dr. Rev. Serene Jones. As a manuscript consultant I've worked with poets Spencer Reece and Li-Young Lee.
I was the poetry editor of Peregrine literary magazine and a reader for The Massachusetts Review, Alice James Books, The Yale Younger Poets Prize, Freshwater, and also facilitated workshops on getting poems published at various poetry conferences around Connecticut.
I've been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and excerpts of my interviews with poets can be found here: Click for Interviews.
My teachers include: Sandy Taylor (Curbstone Press), Martha Serpas, Edwina Trentham, Agha Shahid Ali, Ellen Watson, and Vivian Shipley.
I've had a book of poems published called: Against the Turning and a memoir called: Nothing Special: the Mostly True Sometimes Funny Tales of Two Sisters. I've also had two of my monlogues chosen to be part of the United Solo Fest.
My pricing depends on the project. I'm happy to set up a 30-minute, free consult to learn more about you and your work.
I look forward to hearing from you!
