Johanna McCalmont's translations include 39 Berne Street by Max Lobe (IUP, 2023), If Only (Arctis, 2023) and A Couple (Arctis, forthcoming 2024) by Éliette Abécassis and her work has also been featured by Asymptote, Los Angeles Review, and the European Literature Network.
She has published picture book and middle grade translations for children with Blue Dot Kids Press and Nord Sud (forthcoming 2025). She is a passionate advocate for children's literature and translation and is currently one of the co-editors of the World Kid Lit blog.
Johanna also enjoys interpreting at literary festivals, such as the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the Hay Festival, PEN International Translation Day and Louisiana Literature.
