About the Service

Originally from Chicago, I've lived in Milan since 1991. For over 25 years I've been an Italian-to-English translator of fiction for all ages. My recent translations include the children's poem about the coronavirus Is There Something in the Air? by Roberto Piumini (nominee for the 2022 Hans Christian Andersen Award) and the novel The Women at Hitler's Table (or At the Wolf's Table) by Rosella Postorino (winner of the 2018 Premio Campiello), for which I was shortlisted for the 2020 Italian Prose in Translation Award.
