After a long and distinguished career as a physician, full Professor, journal editor & published science writer, Dr Schnader retains the required skills for authentic clinical medical description. His first novel, THE SERPENT PAPERS, has a publication date of January, 2022. These skills are an asset in writing, editing and speaking on the topic of authentic & accurate medical scenes in fiction. An experienced teacher and speaker, he can deliver prepared or extemporaneous lectures. He has spoken at national conferences over 100 times to audiences numbering between 100 and 1000 attendee physicians & scientists. He has chaired symposia, expert panels and post-graduate courses for national audiences over 35 times. Because of this, he is a resource for other writers who may wish to create fictional scenes involving either critical illness or chronic medical disorders. He is able to teach others how to construct realistic scenes in ambulances, hospitals, sickbeds & intensive care units. He is also adept at coaching authors on how to depict sick & dying characters and how to write believable medical dialog with authentic use of medical jargon & vocabulary.
