About the Service

I am an award-winning technology and science journalist, author, and documentary filmmaker. I would be pleased to speak about my memoir, Family Treasures Lost and Found, which is about my quest to fill gaps in my parents' and sole surviving grandfather's survival during the Holocaust. I also honor lost relatives by finding whatever could be discovered in the world's archives and visiting the relevant European cities. My memoir ties in to the 75-minute documentary and five-part series edited for classrooms of the same name, which I produced. You can read more about the documentaries at www.familytreasuresfilm.com.

My previous award-winning documentaries appeared on public television: Minerva's Machine: Women and Computing, winner of the Exceptional Media Merit Award (EMMA) for Best Television Documentary (Small Market), and Net.LEARNING, winner of the National Education Reporting First Prize Television Documentary Feature. I am co-author with Isaac Asimov of Robots: Machines in Man's Image. My many articles have appeared in magazines, newspapers, and websites, including Bloomberg Businessweek, Communications of the ACM, Discover, Essence, FastCompany.com, Forbes, Science Magazine, Scientific American, Technology Review, The New York Times, The Village Voice, and U.S. News & World Report.
