About the Service

Brief first-person bio-: As associate professor I have taught English, ESL, and the humanities for the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC - Asia) all over the Pacific until the COVID-19 crisis in early 2020.  All told, my college teaching career has spanned over four decades.  My own academic, travel, and op-ed essays have appeared in regional, national, and international publications.  My alternate-history doomsday thriller novel Of Ashes and Dust was released in November of 2022 by Addison & Highsmith (imprint)/Histria Books.  It was a Finalist for the 2023 Chanticleer International Book Award (CIBA) for Global Thrillers.  A poetry collection is scheduled to be released in 2026.

My credentials include 30-plus years' experience in proofreading & copy-editing miscellaneous manuscripts for a myriad of writers from graduate students to professional writers to include, most recently, full-length novels by several of our own AG renowned colleagues.  I critique both non-fiction & fiction manuscripts of all genres & document types.  Many testimonials are available; rates are very reasonable.  Turnaround times & the meeting of deadlines are excellent.  Also, as an added bonus, for full-length (book) manuscripts I'll critique your first 25 pages pro bono.  Judge for yourself.  Get in touch!  You won't regret it.
