With well over a decade of editorial experience in magazine, blog, and ghostwriting, I am now open to paid opportunities to write about issues of Black & BIPOC history, identity, migration, travel, global cultures, women/gender, food, finance, and lifestyle. I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, and take a particular interest in working in translations, copyediting, and writing across those languages and cultures. In addition to the U.S., I have first-hand experience in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, and cover stories from those regions as well.
My writing style and forms vary across different publications and research interests. As such, I have a lengthy by-line in top-tier trade publications like Real Simple and the Fader, as well as academic outlets like Harvard's Transition Magazine and the Oxford Monitor.
I am currently writing an academic book with Palgrave, tentatively titled "Indo-Mozambicans: Competing Decolonization in the Lusophone Indian Ocean" and am represented by Salky Lit Management for my debut trade book - still in acquisition.

I completed a PhD in Forced Migration from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, a Masters in Indian Diaspora and Culture at the Indira Gandhi National Open University, a Masters in International Affairs at Columbia Univ (SIPA), and a Bachelors in African Diaspora, Latin America cultures and Political Science at Barnard College.
