I have an MLS in library science from Rutgers University and experience as a professional reference librarian for 25 years in both academic and public libraries. I'm available to research/fact check in any field including art, business, education and the social sciences, except for highly technical, legal, scientific or medical topics. Recent research included utilizing electronic periodical and historical newspaper databases and reaching out to historical societies as well as special collections in libraries.
I worked at the NYC Fashion Institute of Tecnology library with it's fashion history special collection and at the Lincoln Center Branch of the New York Public Library. I live close to NYC and am willing to travel to any special collection including the Schomburg Center for Black Culture or the Museum of Chinese in America.
I'm willing to send a bibliography as a work sample from any of the following:
"Charlotte Elizabeth Parker, Co-Founder of the Threefold Community." South of the Mountains, V. 63, No.2, April-June, 2019.
"A Letter to Phyllis Parker, The Ghost with a Library Card." Under submission to Macmillan for a ghost anthology.
"The Lost Eichlers of Rockland County." South of the Mountains, Vol. 62, No. 1, The Historical Society of Rockland County, 2018
