Writing compelling non-fiction requires both the art of storytelling and factual integrity. As a PhD engineer-turned-communicator, I specialize in diving into research, verifying facts, and untangling complicated information into clear, digestible content. How I may be able to help you:
Research Services
Research can be time-intensive and has a way of multiplying quickly. While my foundation is rooted in STEM research, my work frequently extends into history, biography, and narrative non-fiction. I love diving into a new topic and digging deep to thoroughly understand it. I will conduct primary and secondary source investigations and provide full documentation, clearly citing where every key finding originated.
Fact-Checking
Already finished your research and need a rigorous second set of eyes to ensure the details hold up? I provide line-by-line verification of names, dates, data, quotes, and citations, complete with a clear, transparent audit trail for your publisher or legal review.
Developmental Editing
Stuck on how to get the facts into a compelling narrative? Worried readers might misinterpret your technical explanations, or wondering whether your phrasing sounds authentic to subject-matter experts? I can help you work through the tough concepts to translate them into everyday conversation and onto the page.
