About the Service

I am a writer and editor who specializes in business with an emphasis on personalities and purpose. I call my Medium column "Dare to Imagine" because it's about new books and new ideas we should be examining. I have written about the rise of China, women and diversity in the workplace, impact investing, and the role of technology in society for magazines including Muse by Robb Report, Directors & Boards, and Forbes. I am a former senior editor at Strategy+Business magazine and senior writer at Institutional Investor magazine, as well as a published novelist. My perspective on the world was shaped by my years as a journalist in Hong Kong, where I wrote about global economics and culture for the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, the Economist Intelligence Unit, and the Harvard Management Communication Letter.
